Fall Harvest Field Day
Put on by CCNV, at the organic vegetable project, located at the CSU farm, 311 Nicholas C. Shouten Lane. Will open to visitors for tours, an overview of variety trials, a vegentable harvesting workshop, a vegetable nutrition and cooking demonstration. Activities for kids include pumpkin carving and a scavenger hunt. Pumpkins and produce will be available for sale. A FREE event.
German Folk Dancers At Oktoberfest
The Redding International Couples Performing Dancers will demonstrate authentic folk and German dances at the 4th Annual Oktoberfest at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Red Bluff.
Tickets are 10 dollars in advance, 12 at the door. There will also be a lot of authentic German food available for purchase and a selection of beers and wines.
Paradise Horsemen's Hoedown and Fashion Show
At Paradise Horse Arena on Moore Road next to the ballpark and dog park. 20 dollars per person. Features a tri-tip buffet dinner. Dance to country rock music provided by DJ Mora Sounds.
The fashion show is by Ranch Shops around town. Proceeds support the 50-year-old arena for all sorts of functions.
